Ray-Ban 12k GF Signet RB-3 Sunglasses
1 Vintage Ray-Ban 12k GF Signet sunglasses c 1960s - early 1970s feature the top of the line B&L Ray-Ban 12k gold filled Signet frame and early Bausch & Lomb RB-3 lenses for one of the icons of early sunglass design. These early 12k gold filled Signet sunglasses c 1960s have the distinctive horizontal etching across the nose bridge, around the temples, and down each ear stem for which Signets have been avidly sought by collectors and fashion aficionados alike. The Bausch & Lomb RB-3 Tru Green lenses are a lighter shade of green than the more common G-15, and we think they look particularly striking set against the 12k gold plating. The unisex B&L 12k GF Signet frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.675" at the widest points. Both ear stems are impressed 4 51/4 B&L 1/10 12k GF, the top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, and the rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L 1/10 12k GF all impressed in the gold plating. Rare.

2 Vintage Ray-Ban 10k GF Signet sunglasses are identical in size, shape, and appearance but were produced slightly earlier c 1950s - early 1960s along with the equally rare and early Bausch & Lomb RB-3 lenses. One ear stem is impressed 4 5 1/4, the inside of the other stem is impressed B&L 10k GF 4 51/4, the top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, and the rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L 10k GF 50-22. Very rare.
