Vintage Versace Mod 458/A Col 919 Medusa Head sunglasses feature a sleek gloss black frame and the Versace trademark gold Medusa Head on both ear stems, one of the most popular Versace styles of the 1990s. The shape of Versace 458 sunglasses is reminiscent of Ray-Ban Wayfarers or the Persol 800 series, but nobody will confuse the distinctive Italian design of these Versace 458A sunglasses with anything but a Gianni Versace vision. Versace production records indicate that these model 458/A Medusa sunglasses were produced just before the assassination of Gianni Versace in 1997 as he was walking back to his Miami Beach mansion from Ocean Drive.The unisex Versace 458A frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.375" at the widest points. You'll find the Versace trademark Medusa Head logo on the exterior of both ear stems inset into 2 gold rectangles, and the inside of one stem is marked Gianni Versace Made in Italy CE while the inside of the other stem is marked Mod. 458/A Col. 919. These Versace 458/A 919 sunglasses are new old stock which were purchased in the 1990s by a friend of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop in Orlando, FL.
