Carrera Porsche Design Interchangeable Lens Sunglasses
Vintage Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses are more elongated than the more common 5621 and 5623 sunglasses from this era of the 1980s and 1990s. This style was produced in much smaller numbers, Carrera's response to market feedback that folks with smaller face sizes still wanted to wear Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses with their trademark interchangeable lenses. The style has less height but is more elongated in width than Carrera PD 5621 and 5623 aviator style sunglasses. The gold frame has prongs into which the lenses are inserted, and the center hinge raises and lowers to secure the lenses. There are 2 sets of interchangeable lenses - dark gray and brown gradient - and the spare lenses are stored in the included Porsche Design case. The unisex frame measures approximately 6.125" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 2.0" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched Porsche Design along with the trademark PD logo. The inside of one stem is marked Porsche Carrera, part of a great St. Louis, MO collection of vintage Porsche Design sunglasses from the 80s and 90s and in the original case marked Carrera Porsche Design and Interchangeable.
