Vuarnet 002 Skilynx Red Sunglasses
1 Vintage Vuarnet 002 Skilynx sunglasses feature a durable French nylon red frame, a rare Vuarnet color, and Vuarnet Skilynx double gradient mirror lenses. The red 002 / 4002 frame really stands out with the highly reflective Vuarnet PX-4000 Skilynx lenses that have the famous anti-reflective interior coatings and double gradient silver exterior filters. This legendary Vuarnet lens eliminates glare and reflection while enhancing contrast and depth of field, the essential lens for in the mountains and at sea. The unisex Vuarnet 002 red frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet "V on a Ski". Reflecting their heritage in Pouilloux France, you'll find the Vuarnet PX logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and PX Vuarnet on the other, and on some production the inside of one stem is marked either 002 or 4002 (they're identical - Vuarnet added the 4 before the 002 c late 1980s as their line was expanding to indicate PX-4000 Skilynx lenses) and impressed Pouilloux while the inside of the other stem is impressed France along with the French crown trademark.
