Vuarnet 003 Nautilux Blue Sunglasses
Vintage Vuarnet 003 Nautilux sunglasses are both rare and super cool, a low production top of the line lens produced by Vuarnet c 1980s that are unparalleled for their performance on the water. Vuarnet Nautilux lenses are a yellow base lens with brown and anti-reflective interior coatings along with amazing double gradient blue exterior filters. Nautilux is a very technical, all weather lens conceived to protect against the strong reflection of the sea and against the tiring glaze of hazy conditions. Especially effective for water sports, these vintage Vuarnet Nautilux sunglasses also feature a durable slate blue French nylon frame that will stand up to the rigors of life on the water just like the lenses. The unisex Vuarnet 003 durable nylon frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple with Nautilux double gradient mirror lenses measuring approximately 2.25" x 1.75" at the widest points. The lenses appear blue at the top and bottom, while the center horizontal line is lighter and is accented by 2 darker stripes to accentuate the gradient. Both lenses are laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet "V on a Ski", and the outside of one ear stem is marked PX Nautilux while the other stem is marked PX. The inside of one stem is impressed France Depose along with the Vuarnet crown mark (on some production you will also find the model number 003 or 8003 with the 8 signifying the PX-8000 Nautilux lenses) while the other stem is impressed with the French crown trademark and Nylon.
