Vuarnet 438 270 Tortoise Shell Sunglasses
Vintage Vuarnet 438 270 sunglasses feature a beautiful handmade French tortoise shell frame complemented by a gold metal bottom front frame that holds the Vuarnet PX-2000 high contrast brown mineral glass lenses. This is one of Vuarnet's most compelling vintage styles, reminiscent of Ray-Ban Wayfarer Max sunglasses but with that French design flair. You'll find the Vuarnet PX (Pouilloux) trademark in gold on the outside of one ear stem, and the other stem is inset with Vuarnet all in a gold oval. The unisex Vuarnet 438 frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple with lenses measuring approximately 2.0" x 1.675" at the widest points. The inside of one ear stem is marked Pouilloux France VO 438-270 (some production of this style was marked Pouilloux France 438), the inside of the other stem is marked 54 [] 16, and both lenses are laser etched with the Vuarnet "V on a Ski".
