1 Vintage Ray-Ban W1663 Chromax Outdoorsman sunglasses feature a black "General" brow bar and ear pads in the classic gold plated aviator style, but you also get top of the line Bausch & Lomb B-20 Chromax lenses in the Ray-Ban W1663. The Bausch & Lomb Chromax Color Contrast Technology lenses enhance the relative intensity and contrast of critical driving colors (reds, greens, and ambers). As a result, brake lights, traffic signals and signs appear brighter and easier to see. Chromax lenses also filter out blue light haze to give you excellent overall contrast and sharpened details. These original and vintage Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses are scientifically formulated to control glare, adding to driving comfort and reducing eye fatigue. Treated with an advanced anti-reflection coating, they also cut distracting reflections from the rear surface of the lenses. Ray-Ban W1663 Outdoorsman Chromax sunglasses are a perfect unisex size with frame measuring approximately 5.375" temple to temple and 58mm lenses measuring approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the distinctive Chromax lightning bolt and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is marked B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 all impressed in the gold plating. On later production one ear pad is impressed with the model # W1663 NXBK, part of a fine collection of vintage Ray-Ban sunglasses owned by a well known sports figure and customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
