B&L Bausch & Lomb Ful Vue Steampunk Motorcycle Goggles & Sunglasses
1 Vintage B&L Bausch & Lomb Ful Vue sunglasses are one of the earliest examples of a true sunglass that preserved optical quality c early 1940s and predates the establishment of the Ray-Ban brand by B&L. Starting life intended as safety goggles used extensively in World War II and under the B&L and B&L American Optical brand, these vintage B&L Ful Vue sunglasses are today more commonly used as motorcycles goggles and fall into the broader category of steampunk goggles. You'll be sure to get attention wearing these on your Harley, and it's a nice unisex size at approximately 5.25" temple to temple with lenses measuring approximately 1.875" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the early triangle trademark at the top center of the lenses. The rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ful Vue 23, and you'll also find original bakelite nose pads and original "shooter" ear stems which continued in Ray-Ban production as Ray-Ban "shooters" and "Outdoorsman" sunglasses. Rare.

2 Vintage B&L Ful Vue sunglasses are identical in appearance and frame marks to #1 above, but these lenses were retained in house and are laser etched BL 2 (very early Bausch & Lomb Shade 2 green glass lenses) at the top center in place of AO. As in #1 above, the rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ful Vue 23 and has the original bakelite nose pads.
