1 Vintage Oliver Peoples OP-566 sunglasses is an eye catching low profile style that dates to the early days of the brand when all of their styles were made in Japan when not reusing vintage frames from an estate collection of vintage American-made eyewear purchased by the founders in the late 1980s. Oliver Peoples OP-566 was also one of the early nylon styles the brand produced, and note the subtle color shadings of dark to light as you look top to bottom on the front frame. Oliver Peoples was founded in 1987 with the opening of its first boutique in the heart of West Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard, and the unique culture of LA in fashion, film, art, music was an influence on the brand from the beginning. The unisex Oliver Peoples OP-566 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.125" at the widest points. The inside of one stem is marked Oliver Peoples along with the OP logo while the inside of the other stem is marked OP-566 108 and one ear pad is marked Made in Japan.
