Vintage Ray-Ban Explorer Deep Groove sunglasses were the earliest version of this iconic style, a slightly more rounded shape than you find in later years and extremely rare in Flying Colors. These early Ray-Ban Explorer Deep Groove sunglasses feature an Arista gold plated frame unrivaled in its ability to survive intact over the years. The Deep Groove ear stems were produced in only very small quantities and were also found in the 50th Anniversary General, and they're much stronger than traditional wire ear stems on vintage Ray-Bans. The Bausch & Lomb G-15 anti-glare mineral glass lenses give you outstanding optics to go with the high performance frame, and anyone who knows sunglasses will know these Explorers are unique to far more common Ray-Ban aviators. The unisex Ray-Ban Explorer frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the B&L Ray-Ban G-15 lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.75" at the widest points. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, and both ear stems are also impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA. Rare.
