1 Vintage Serengeti 5223 Drivers black aviator sunglasses are a real classic in vintage sunglass design, one of the premier styles in the Serengeti Drivers Series c early 1990s and a slightly smaller version of equally iconic Serengeti 5222 sunglasses. You'll love the high performance of these Corning Optics mineral glass lenses used in these vintage Serengetis, here a rare rose Corning lens and a far cry from today's Serengeti sunglasses with plastic lenses. The black aviator frame is reminiscent of a Ray-Ban 62mm black chrome aviator or Carrera Porsche Design, with unisex Serengeti 5223 frame measuring approximately 5.5" temple to temple. The Corning Optics lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.875" at the widest points, and the rose tint on the rear of the lenses provides superior anti-glare protection and selectively filters blue light which causes hazy vision and eye fatigue. The inside of one ear stem is marked Serengeti Drivers 5223R while the inside of the other stem is marked Corning Optics and one ear pad is marked Frame Japan, part of the collection of a well known sports figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
