1 Vintage Ray-Ban Olympic Games 36 USC 380 sunglasses were a commemorative issue in support of Baush & Lomb's sponsorship of the 1992 summer Olympic games in Barcelona, Spain with a style and shape reminiscent of some vintage Wayfarer and Outsider sunglasses but with their own distinctive flair! This is a particularly strong and durable frame as you might expect since many of the 1992 American Olympic athletes wore them in competition, and with the original B&L G-15 lenses the optical quality is every bit as outstanding as the frame. The unisex Ray-Ban Olympics frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the G-15 anti-glare mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.75" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the Olympic rings and both lenses laser etched BL at the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and the Olympic Games rings on the other stem, and the inside of one stem is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is marked 1992 Olympic Games 36 USC 380 and one ear pad is impressed Frame France. A rare find for both B&L Ray-Ban and Olympics collectors!
