Vintage Jean Paul Gaultier 55-6111 sunglasses feature all the intricate craftsmanship and design whimsy original Gaultier sunglasses from the 1990s were known for, a complex and beautifully manufactured brushed gold frame with dozens of subtle but very hard to produce design flourishes throughout. Pinpoint etching, curves, and coils immediately draw the eye to numerous areas of the front frame and ear stems, and nothing goes better with the brushed gold plating than the original blue JPG lenses. The unisex Jean Paul Gaultier 55-6111 frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.5" at the widest points. You'll find the Gaultier logo impressed on the nose bridge, and the inside of one stem is marked Jean Paul Gaultier 55-6111 along with the JPG logo while the inside of the other stem is marked 51 [] 19 137 and one ear pad is marked Made in Japan. Very rare.
