1 Vintage Oakley 009137-04 Pit Boss II Scuderia Ferrari sunglasses were sold for around $600 even at their introduction to the market, a very high price even for Oakley, and these 009137 Pit Boss II sunglasses feature Fire Iridium lenses and were a collaboration between Oakley and Ferrari. Oakley Pit Boss sunglasses were the first in the “Elite” Oakley line, never meant to be the mass-produced like the Gascan or Holbrook and meant to appeal directly to Oakley collectors. Oakley toned down the aggressive styling on the Pit Boss II adding in some curves to soften the hard cuts on the Pit Boss I. The biggest functional enhancement was the addition of Unobtainium earsocks and nosepads, rubber-like grips added to the earstems solved any issues of the Pit Boss I sunglasses slipping off your face. The unisex Oakley Pit Boss II frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.5" at the widest points with left lens laser etched with the Scuderia Ferrari logo. You'll also find the Oakley O logo imbedded on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is 009137-04 60 [] 19 138 Pit Boss II while the inside of the other stem is marked CE. Rare.
