1 Vintage Vienna Line 1378 45 sunglasses feature a beautiful gold plated frame with blue enamal highlights, and what looks better with that great frame and lens combo than matching blue Vienna Line lenses. The Vienna Line brand was founded in the 1950s by Austrian Wilhelm Anger, former founder of Carrera and the inventor of innovative lens material Optyl. Anger had the line designed by Udo Proksch, a brilliant and prolific eyewear designer who had already worked for Carrera. Anger and Proksch quickly created one of the most glamorous retro eyewear fashion houses in Europe and in the 60s and 90s they offered acetate frames with distinctive and colorful lines with a vintage taste, elegant and unmistakable. The unisex Vienna Line 1378 frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 2.125" at the widest points. You'll find the Vienna Line VL logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Frame Made in Germany 1378 45 57 [] 16 130 while the inside of the other stem is marked Vienna Line.
