Ray-Ban Z0516 Adin Dark Tortoise Sunglasses
1 Vintage Ray-Ban Z0516 Adin sunglasses are notable for a few reasons, for one they're one of the very few original B&L Ray-Ban styles that featured mostly round G-15 mineral glass lenses and here are framed in a thin band of beautiful tortoise shell for plenty of extra design flair. Vintage Ray-Ban Adin sunglasses were one of the very few of the original Bausch & Lomb metal frame designs made in France before they sold control of the brand to Italian eyewear maker Luxottica in 1998. The unisex Ray-Ban Z0516 Adin frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the G-15 mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL at the hinges. The inside of one stem is marked Bausch & Lomb Adin while the inside of the other stem is marked 54 [] 23 France 145 Dk Tortoise and one ear pad is impressed Z0516. Beautiful and rare.
