Ray-Ban RB 3428 Road Spirit Polarized Sunglasses
1 Ray-Ban RB 3428 Road Spirit sunglasses were one of the few original B&L styles Luxottica produced in the period from 1998 to 2002 immediately after their acquisition of the brand and before they phased out almost all the original Bausch & Lomb icons. We like them because not only is the construction and quality consistent with earlier Road Spirits but for the first time they were offered with polarized lenses. The Ray-Ban Road Spirit features a gleaming band of tortoise shell surrounding the front lenses and the "General" brow bar designed to improve the balance on the face to round out the look. This Road Spirit frame looks great with the RB-3 polarized lenses, the original anti-glare lenses great in all light conditions. The unisex Ray-Ban RB3428 Road Spirit frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the polarized lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban P to indicate the advanced optical polarization and laser etched RB at the hinge. The inside of one ear stem is marked RB 3428 Road Spirit 001/M4 58 [] 18 2P, the inside of the other stem is marked Ray-Ban Made in Italy CE Polarized, and the bottom of the nose bridge is impressed Ray-Ban 58 [] 17, part of the collection of a well known European business executive and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
