1 Vintage Oliver Peoples OP-524 sunglasses from the Oliver Peoples 1998 original release 5 barrel hinge 520 series are a real icon of modern sunglasses design and one of the single most influential styles that put Oliver Peoples eyewar on the designer map. The OP 524 was part of 3 sets OP issued for the Fight Club paper street series and considered for use in the film starring Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter, and these are the original 1998 version. This is the beautiful OP-524 worn by rapper Heavy D and was only available as a custom order with the combination black and silver frame and thus incredibly rare. The unisex Oliver Peoples OP 524 frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.5 x 1.875" at the widest points. The inside of one stem is impressed Oliver Peoples along with the OP logo while the inside of the other stem is impressed OP-524. This is one of the only examples of this custom OP-524 frame and lens combo, part of the collection of a well known movie and TV industry figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
