1 Vintage Ray-Ban 12k GF Decot bullet hole Kalichrome shooters are en enduring icon with hunters and shooters the world over featuring the "bullet hole" design to create better balance for the sunglasses and amazing Bausch & Lomb yellow Kalichrome mineral glass lenses. Bausch & Lomb developed these shooters with well known sportsman Bud Decot in the 1950s, and they are still the benchmark shooting sunglasses for skeet and trap shooters worldwide. Its unique high-riding design ensures a virtually uninterrupted field of view and superb coverage for sport and bird shooters, with lenses that are longer but not as tall as a standard bullet hole shooter which along with the 5mm bridge (versus 8mm for the standard shooter) provides more eye protection from flying debris like burning powder fragments during shooting. The Kalichrome C yellow lenses are an amazing innovation of Bausch & Lomb, enhancing visual acuity in all light conditions but especially lower light, more hazy conditions. These Ray-Ban Kalichrome sunglasses also feature the pearlized General bar and curved wire Outdoorsman ear stems for a secure fit. The unisex Ray-Ban bullet hole shooter frame measures approximately 5.35" temple to temple with Ray-Ban Kalichrome yellow mineral glass lenses that measure approximately 2.375" x 1.75" at the widest points. The top of the nose bridge is impressed Ray-Ban B&L 1/10 12k GF, indicating that 1/10 of the metal in the frame - the external plating - is 12k gold. Rare, c early 1970s - 1980s.
