1 Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5621 90 sunglasses are an icon of modern sunglasses design, and here you get the classic matte black composite frame with very rare Porsche Design silver mirror lenses as well as a second set of brown gradient lenses..You'll recognize the style from the original Beverly Hills Cop movie - in fact the studio bought over 50 pairs of vintage Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses from us to give at gifts at the movie's 25th anniversary party! With two complete sets of interchangeable lenses It's an amazing way to have two very distinct looks in one pair of sunglasses you can carry around, and the spare set of lenses you're not using are stored in a felt pouch inside the included black Carrerar Porsche Design hard sided case. The center hinge lifts up to allow the lenses to be inserted into small prongs on the front frame, and then the hinge clamps back down to secure the lenses in place. The unisex Carrera 5621 Austrian frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple with lenses measuring approximately 2.75" x 2.5" at the widest points and the left lenss of both sets are laser etched Porsche Design along with the PD logo. It was Carreras use of a new plastic called optyl that made this style possible, for that material is lightweight with outstanding optics and allowed for a size that would have been prohibitively heavy in glass. The inside of one ear stem is impressed with the unique serial number and marked Made in Austria 5621 90 while the other stem is marked Carrera Porsche Design along with the US patent number on some models, part of the collection of a well known sports figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
