1 Vintage Ray-Ban W1905 Gatsby Style 1 sunglasses are one of your smallest frame options for vintage Bausch & Lomb Diamond Hard lenses, and we think you'll agree the tortoise shell W1905 Gatsby Style 1 is a perfect complement for the highly reflective Diamond Hard lenses. Vintage B&L Ray-Ban Diamond Hard lenses featured an innovative - and quite expensive to produce - Bausch & Lomb scratch-protection system which created a lens surface of amorphous diamond 10x more resistant to scratching than ordinary glass. This surface also sheds water, reducing water spotting and making the lens easier to clean. The diamond surface is permanently bonded to the lens via an ion beam process originally developed by NASA. The unisex Ray-Ban W1905 Gatsby Style 1 frame measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple, and the Diamond Hard lenses measure approximately 1.75" x 1.675" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the Diamond logo while both lenses are laser etched BL at the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo impressed on a gold tab on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is marked Gatsby Style 1 and one ear pad is impressed W1905 WTAS.
