Vintage Carrera Porsche Design 5623 sunglasses feature the matte black Austrian Porsche Carrera 5623 frame along with rare, highly reflective Porsche Design gold mirror lenses aong with a second set of either gray or brown gradient lenses. Carrera produced only very small numbers of their mirrored lenses for iconic 5621 and 5623 sunglasses, a technique that proved difficult and costly on the advanced optyl material vintage Porsche Design lenses were made of. Mostly available only as a special order from Carrera, the gold mirror lenses are sure to attract attention and compliments most every time you wear them but you also get a second set of lenses for a completely different look - essentially two pairs of sunglasses in one. The center hinge raises to allow the lenses to be inserted into prongs on the frame and then clamps down to secure them in place. The unisex Carrera Porsceh Design 5623 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.75" x 2.375" at the widest points with both left lenses laser etched Porsche Design. The inside of one ear stem is marked Made in Austria 5623 along with the impressed serial number while the inside of the other stem is marked Carrera Porsche Design along with the PD logo. Rare.
