Versace 790 029 Sunglasses
Vintage Versace 790 029 sunglasses are one of the only wrap styles with side shields in the original Versace style collections released prior to the death of company founder Gianni Versace in 1997. A precursor of future styles to come from Versace and other designers, the unified look and construction of Versace 790 sunglasses turned heads when first introduced and was a design that was both super cool and highly functional, giving total eye protection on all sides. The top gold accent looks great with the blue tint lenses of the Versace 790 029, a low production variation but we think one of the best. The unisex Versace 790 frame and one piece front lens measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, making a near right angle turn at the temple to seamlessly transition to the side panels. The inside of one stem is marked Gianni Versace Frame Italy while the inside of the other stem is marked Mod 790 Col 029.
