Vuarnet 006 Black PX-3000 Sunglasses
1 Vintage Vuarnet 006 sunglasses are a unique Vuarnet interpretation of classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses - but with that unmistakable Vuarnet flair. The matte black frame looks great with the Vuarnet PX-3000 lenses, produced in smaller quantities and thus rather difficult to find with this frame and lens combination. The Vuarnet PX 3000 lens is a general purpose, gray-based true color lens with an anti-reflective coating to reduce glare and is recognized as a perfect balance between comfort and protection. The durable nylon unisex Vuarnet 006 frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet "V on a Ski" at the top center. You'll find the PX logo and Vuarnet embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is impressed Pouilloux and marked 006 while the inside of the other stem is impressed France.

2 Vintage Vuarnet 006 matte black PX-3000 sunglasses are identical in size, shape, and appearance but were produced in 1994-1995 to commemorate the 1995 America's Cup and have the '95 Americas Cup logo embossed on one ear stem and otherwise identical exterior and interior marks. The 1995 America's Cup was one of the most famous yacht races of all time, with world famous captain Dennis Conner and the yacht Young America racing Team New Zealand's yacht Black Magic which incorporated some never before seen technology advancements to win five races straight to take the cup away from the US for only the second time in 144 years.
