Persol 836 Tortoise Shell Sunglasses
1 Vintage Persol 836 sunglasses feature an orange tortoise shell frame with fabulous translucence, a style and shape reminiscent of vintage B&L Ray-Ban Wayfarer II sunglasses but with more curves and that unmistakable Italian design flair. These Persol Ratti 836 sunglasses were produced in Persol's Ratti manufactury reserved for their highest quality production and features the Meflecto system unique to vintage Persol sunglasses. In the Meflecto system, metal cylinders are inserted into the ear stems - in this case the maximum 4 cylinders - to provide unparalleled flex and comfort. The unisex Persol 836 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the brown mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the round Persol trademark. You'll find the distinctive Persol silver arrow hinges on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Persol 836 50 [] 17 while the inside of the other stem is marked 142 96 Ratti Made in Italy.
