1 Vintage Alpina The Raceman sunglasses c 1990s are a sleek and elegant design that just exudes streamline design and speed, understandable design characteristic for a pair of sunglasses marketed as "The Raceman". They have typically fine Alpina construction, strong and durable and able to withstand the rigors of active outdoor sports. Note the contrast between the use of silver and gold plating on the frame - a difficult manufacturing technique but obviously eye catching. The unisex Alpina Raceman frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.675" at the widest points. You'll find the Alpina logo impresesed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Design by Alpina Made in Germany while the inside of the other stem is marked The Raceman 54 - 19 145 along with the unique serial number.
