1 Vintage Persol 2573 sunglasses feature a distinctive low profile design and eye catching oval lenses all set in a sleek and elegant black ebony Italian frame incorporating the famous Persol Meflecto system. The Persol Meflecto system consists of tiny cylinders inserted by a craftsman process into the ear stems to render them flexible, thereby assuring maximum comfort and snugness of fit. Persol marketing literature from the period notes that the Meflecto system offers "excellent functionality and perfect fitting to the wearer's face" along with a "smart design and exceptional solidity of construction". The unisex Persol 2573 frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and the green Persol lenses measure approximately 1.875" x 1.375" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the round Persol trademark. You'll find the iconic Persol silver arrow point hinges on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Persol 2573-S 51 [] 21 95/31 while the inside of the other stem is marked 135 Persol Made in Italy CE.
