Ray-Ban W1662 Chromax Aviator Sunglasses
Vintage Ray-Ban W1662 Chromax sunglasses feature the high performance black chrome 58mm aviator frame coupled with the amazing look and optical properties of Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses. The Chromax Color Contrast Technology lenses enhance the relative intensity and contrast of critical driving colors (reds, greens, and ambers). As a result, brake lights, traffic signals and signs appear brighter and easier to see. Ray-Ban B-20 Chromax lenses also filter out blue light haze to give you excellent overall contrast and sharpened details. These original and vintage Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses are scientifically formulated to control glare, adding to driving comfort and reducing eye fatigue. Treated with an advanced anti-reflection coating, they also cut distracting reflections from the rear surface of the lenses. The unisex Ray-Ban black chrome 58mm aviator frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple and 58mm Chromax lenses measuring approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points. The right lens is laser etched Ray-Ban along with the distinctive Chromax lightning bolt, and both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 58 [] 14 and on some production one ear pad is impressed W1662 VYAS, part of a retired Air Force officer's collection in Sarasota, Florida.
