Ray-Ban Caballero Tortoise Shell G-15 Sunglasses
Vintage Ray-Ban Caballero sunglasses feature thick, wide ear stems and a translucent tortoise shell frame, a really distinctive style that has similarities with the Ray-Ban Dekko and Onyx sunglasses but is a bit less angular in design. Your attention is drawn to the temples where they take a sharp right angle turn downward, but from there graceful curves wrap the lower potion of the lenses and back up to the nose bridge. The Bausch & Lomb G-15 lenses are the iconic standard for anti-glare mineral glass lenses originally produced for the US military. The unisex Ray-Ban Caballero frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo in raised metal relief on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is impressed Caballero.
