Carrera Porsche Design 5633 40 Sunglasses
Carrera Porsche Design 5633 40 sunglasses are another innovative Carrera interchangeable lens design, and while lesser known than Carrera PD 5621 and 5623 sunglasses we think they're every bit as unique. The 5633's were part of Carrera's evolutionary process, developing the unique one piece double lens design you'll see here but still retaining the ability to have interchangeable lenses. The lenses are 1 piece construction, and they slot into prongs on the frame as per the 5621 and 5623 lines with center hinge clamping down to hold them in place. One good thing about Carrera Porsche Design 5633 sunglasses versus the other styles is that the lenses are easier to maintain scratch free this way versus handling individual lenses. These Carrera 5633 40 sunglasses come in the original hard sided Carrera case that includes a felt pouch to store the replacement lenses. The unisex Carrera 5633 frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple with lenses measuring approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points with left side lenses laser etched Porsche Design. The inside of one ear stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera along with the US patent number on the ear pad while the inside of the other stem is marked Made in Austria 5633 40 62 [] 12 Small 130 PA. Very cool!
