1 Vintage Oliver Peoples OP-79 MBK sunglasses feature an elaborately crafted black metal and yellow tortoise shell frame, one of the most distinctive designs produced by Oliver Peoples LA during their golden years in the 1980s. Note the curved metal temples and black bands that frame the lenses, a perfect color complement for the gleaming translucent yellow tortoise shell front frame. Note the subtle etching that extends down both ear stems for even more design flair! The unisex Oliver Peoples OP 79 MBK frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 1.75" x 1.375" at the widest points. The inside of one stem is marked Oliver Peoples LA while the inside of the other stem is marked OP-79 MBK and one ear pad is impressed Frame Japan. Rare.
