1 Vintage Ray-Ban W2055 Sport Metal 1 Chromax sunglasses were a commemorative issue for the 1994 and 1996 Olympic Games of which Bausch & Lomb Ray-Ban was a worldwide sponsor. While appealing to Olympics memorabilia collectors, these top of the line sunglasses stand on their own with the iconic Explorer frame and B&L B-20 Chromax lenses designed to enhance and sharpen color contrast in all light conditions. They also feature a Tortuga tortoise shell "General" brow bar that improves the fit and balance on the face, and it looks great with the gold plating and the B-20 brown Chromax lenses. The unisex Ray-Ban W2055 Sport Metal 1 frame, a more rounded variation of Ray-Ban Explorer sunglasses, measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.675" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the trademark Chromax lightning bolt and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and the Olympic rings embossed on the other, and the inside of one stem is marked 1994/96 Olympic Games while the top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA and the bottom is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 61 [] 15.
