Vintage Alpina M1 / 8 sunglasses are a low production variant of the iconic Alpina M1 sunglasses, snazzing up the design with colorful pattern top accents which in this instance is the top of the line Tortuga with gold rivets. Legendary Alpina M1 sunglasses have long been the choice of celebrities including Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, Victoria Beckham, and many more since their introduction in the early 1980s, with a unique racing inspired shape and the trademark gold rivets that decorate the front of the high tech composite metal frame. The unisex Alpina M1 8 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 2.0" at the widest points. The rear of the nose bridge is impressed Alpina M1/8 Made in W. Germany and 65 [] 14, and the inside of one ear stem is marked M1/8 65 [] 14 while the inside of the other stem is marked with the unique Alpina serial number. Rare.
