1 Vintage Ray-Ban L9712 Timberline Ambermatic sunglasses feature a super cool nylon frame with alternating horizontal bands of shades of brown at the nose bridge for plenty of design flair! But of course you also get iconic Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic lenses in this classic Timberlines which have photochromatic properties that change density depending on the degree of both brightness and temperature. Taking its name from the color of the lens, Ray-Ban Ambermatic sunglasses change from amber yellow to gray and darker and denser in bright light conditions and in colder temperatures. This is exactly what you would want and expect in bright sunlight or at a ski resort when glare off the snow can become a real problem.. The unisex Ray-Ban Timberline frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the B&L Ambermatic lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 1.875" at the widest points. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo in raised metal relief on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is impressed Timberline.
