Vintage Revo 540 022 Velocity sunglasses from the Competition Collection were in the very first group of sunglasses introduced by Revo c mid 1980s, and if you've never seen anything like this style before you're not alone because very few were produced in less than one full year of production. Notably different from any other Revos, Revo 540 sunglasses were part of the Competition Collection that combined high performance durable nylon frames with optically outstanding polycarbonate lenses in subtle wrap styles to contour more closely to the face for active sports and outdoor pursuits. The 540 022 is a rare variation, with Jade green frame and "Beta" lenses, and note the foam band at the top rear of the frame to add comfort and security. The unisex Revo 540 Velocity frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple with the unique one piece lens extending the entire length of the frame. You'll find the Revo logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked 540 022 Frame Italy.
