438 Skilynx sunglasses feature Vuarnet Skilynx PX-4000 double gradient mirror lenses in the classic Vuarnet 438 frame with black ebony top accents in a style reminiscent of vintage Ray-Ban Clubmasters. Vintage Vuarnet Skilynx lenses are
known for their unique ability to eliminate glare and reflection while
enhancing contrast and depth of field to provide unsurpassed performance
in the mountains or at sea. The unisex Vuarnet 438 sunglasses frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the Vuarnet Skilynx
lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest
points and have the laser etched Vuarnet "V on a Ski" at the top center of
each lens. The exterior of one ear
stem is marked Vuarnet on a gold insert while the other is marked PX (Pouilloux) all
in gold, a great contrast with the gloss black frame. The inside of
one ear stem is marked Pouilloux V.O. 438-267 Hand Made in France
(during some years marked Pouilloux France 438) while the inside of the other stem is marked 54 [] 16. Vuarnet 438 sunglasses are one of the most popular styles ever produced by Vuarnet and great for both socializing as well as active outdoor pursuits,

3 In the early 1990s, Vuarnet first introduced the Vuarnet 438 with black top accent and Skilynx lenses with one stem marked PX Vuarnet, later replaced with the Vuarnet gold insert described in the item listing above and in the pictures below. The other side is identical to those above, and they are marked on the inside of one ear stem Pouilloux 438 Hand Made in France. Other than that one difference in how the left ear stem ws marked, they are identical in size, shape, and appearance. New old stock in mint, unworn condition.
