The 12k GF frame was an early Ray-Ban marking convention which denoted that 1/10 of the metal frame is 12k gold, forming the exterior gold plating. These rare Ray-Ban 52mm aviators are much is demand for those who like smaller frame sizes but the iconic shape of vintage Ray-Ban aviators. The unisex Ray-Ban 12k GF 52mm aviator sunglasses measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple, and the B&L Ray-Ban 52mm mineral glass lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points. The top of the nose bridge is impressed Ray-Ban and the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L 1/10 12k GF, part of the collection of a former well known US military leader and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop. The vintage B&L RB-3 Tru Green lens is lighter and more green in color than the G-15 lenses in #1. The unisex 12k GF 52mm aviator sunglasses frame is impressed Ray-Ban on top of the nose bridge and B&L 1/10 12k GF on the bottom. Rare.
