1 Vintage Ray-Ban L0055 Arctic CATS 7000 glacier glasses feature a cool brown nylon frame that won't stick to your face even in the most extreme conditions, but the real stars of the show are the rare Bausch & Lomb RB-50 mirrored lenses that perform great on the ski slopes or for any outdoor activity. Ray-Ban RB-50 lenses were always state of the art at Bausch & Lomb, a specialty lens for moderate to extreme glare with light absorption ranges from 80% to 90% extending to 95% under cold, bright conditions to make them excellent for skiing and other high glare snow sports. They provide 100% ultraviolet protection and filter out scattered blue light to enhance contrast and sharpen details with true color recognition. The rear of the lens has an exclusive, anti-reflective coating that reduces back glare and sunburn problems associated with some mirrored lenses. The leather side blinkers will give your eyes total protection all around from the ravages of glare, wind, rain, or snow, and they fold inward to allow the glasses to close to a small size. The unisex CATS 7000 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the exterior of one ear stem is marked Ray-Ban near the hinge while the other stem is marked CATS. The Bausch & Lomb RB-50 lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses are laser etched BL near the hinges. The inside of one ear stem is impressed Bausch & Lomb Frame France while the inside of the other stem is impressed Nylon France, part of the collection of a well known sports figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.

All other impressed marks on the ear stems and etched lens marks are identical. Early, hard to find version.
