Vintage Revo 5501 sunglasses are the ones that started it all, the very first style Revo produced that tested their ability to use the mirrored lens technology pioneered in the NASA space program on high end sunglasses for the consumer market. Only a very few Revo 5501's were produced, mostly created to entice high end optical shops to begin carrying the line before giving way to the first Revo collection and the model series 700s and 800s that followed. The highly reflective red mirror lenses also have plenty of hues of orange and even purple that will come out in the sunlight, and the durable matte black composite frame makes these strong enough for even the most active outdoor pursuits. The unisex Revo 5501 frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the red mirror lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.875" at the widest points. You'll find the Revo logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem, new old stock in mint, unworn condition and including the original 5501 box that was part of one of the world's best collections of vintage Revo sunglasses owned by an original Revo company executives in Los Angeles, CA.
