Vintage Vuarnet 24k gold plated Skilynx sunglasses were produced for the 1984 Olympics and feature the amazing Vuarnet PX Pouilloux Skilynx lenses. It's sort of a modern update on an aviator design but with flat silver lower nose bridge and traditional gold nose bridge above, and the front of the silver bridge is impressed with the star symbol and the Olympic rings of the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, CA of which Vuarnet was a sponsor. We really like the contrast of mixing silver and gold in the frame, and behind the lower nose bridge which is gold in the rear you will find Vuarnet Plaque Of 24 CT impressed in the gold plating. The Vuarnet Skilynx gradient mirror lenses were designed for the extremes of alpine use and measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points, and both have the laser etched Vuarnet V on a Ski at the top center of the lens. These make great men's and women's sunglasses, with a moderately sized 24k gold plated frame that measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple.
