Ray-Ban 10k GO White Gold Deep Groove Sunglasses
1 Vintage Ray-Ban 10k GO sunglasses c 1960s were a very early style of a more rectangular variation of classic aviator sunglasses, and one of the very few frame styles that were produced with white gold plating - in this case 10k gold overlay and so marked on the frame. This is arguably the first "Deep Groove" frame produced by B&L Ray-Ban, given its name because of how much stronger the frame was compared to original aviator sunglasses. Note the intricate etching and texture in the metal that was very difficult and expensive to manufacture and something you just don't see today in any style or brand of sunglasses. The unisex B&L Ray-Ban 10k GO frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.675" at the widest points. The rear of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA 58 - 18 and one ear stem is impressed B&L 4 1/4 5 1/2 10k GO while the inside of the other stem is impressed B&L 4 1/4 5 1/2. Very rare.
