Vuarnet 085 Skilynx White Sunglasses
Vintage Vuarnet 085 white sunglasses are a rare color variation in the iconic Vuarnet 085 line coupled with the highly reflective Vuarnet Skilynx double gradient mirror lenses. Like all Vuarnet 085 sunglasses, the durable French nylon frame has the open cut center V that gives the 085 its distinctive styling. Vuarnet PX-4000 Skilynx lenses are an amber-yellow mineral glass lens with anti-reflective interior coatings and double gradient silver exterior filters that gives them the double gradient mirror finish. Skilynx lenses eliminate glare and reflection, enhance contrast and depth of field, and have been recognized for 30 years as the essential high performance lens for the mountains and at sea. The unisex white 085 frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet V on a Ski at the top center. You'll find the Vuarnet PX logo embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and PX Vuarnet on the other, and on some production the inside of one stem is marked 085 or on some production 4085 (Vuarnet changed their marking conventions to begin with the lens indicator, in this case PX-4000 Skilynx lenses) along with an impressed France and the French crown trademark while the inside of the other stem is impressed Pouilloux.
