Vintage Ray-Ban W0800 Onyx sunglasses are one of the most distinctive styles produced by Bausch & Lomb during their ownership of the Ray-Ban brand up until 1998 when the company was sold to Luxottica. Ray-Ban Onyx sunglasses were known for their angular lines, extended temples, and thick ear stems. Onyx sunglasses were made in a variety of colors, but these Ray-Ban W0800 Onyx sunglasses are one of our favorites with the tortoise shell exterior frame matched up with B&L G-15 anti-glare lenses. The unisex Ray-Ban Onyx frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 1.375" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the Ray-Ban logo very subtly embossed on the exterior of one ear stem, and the inside of one stem is marked B&L Ray-Ban USA while the inside of the other stem is marked Frame France Onyx W0800.
