Vintage Persol 624 3E sunglasses feature a sleek, elegant, lower profile design often seen on the faces of European Formula One racing drivers during the 1980s with the rare honey tortoise shell frame. The unique design of the nose bridge adds additional design flair to the Persol 624, and it's a size and shape that looks great as both men's and women's sunglasses. This is one of Persol's sleeker, lower profile designs that looks as modern today as they did when first introduced c early 1970s. These Persol Ratti 624 3E sunglasses were produced in the Persol Ratti manufactury reserved for their highest quality production and feature the Persol Meflecto system that lets the frame mold itself to the shape of the wearer’s face. The Meflecto system involves inserting two to four small cylinders into the acetate arm to give it flexibility, a craft manufacturing process exclusive to Persol sunglasses. The unisex Persol 624 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.75" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the round Persol mark at the upper outside corners. You'll find the trademark Persol etched silver arrow hinges decorating both ear stems, and the inside of one stem is marked Persol Meflecto Ratti and impressed 624/3E and one ear pad is impressed 96.
