1 Vintage Persol 802 sunglasses feature a beautiful Italian yellow tortoise shell frame and the distinctive center pane nose bridge that's the stylistic marker for Persol 802 sunglasses. The yellow tortoise looks great with the brown mineral glass lenses, and the 802 with 3 distinct panes of glass is a style of sunglasses you won't see from any other designer or manufacturer. These Persol Ratti 802 sunglasses were produced in Persol's Ratti manufactury reserved for their highest quality production and feature the Persol Meflecto system that lets the frame mold itself to the shape of the wearer’s face. The Meflecto system involves inserting two to four small cylinders into the acetate arm to give it flexibility, a craft manufacturing process exclusive to Persol sunglasses. The unisex Persol 802 frame measures approximately 5.675" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 2.0 " at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the round Persol mark at the upper outside corners. The inside of one stem is marked Persol 802 while the inside of the other stem is marked 137 80 Ratti Made in Italy, part of the collection of a well known European media figure and long time customer of the Vintage Sunglasses Shop.
