Vintage Ray-Ban W2486 sunglasses were a rare, low production style of 52mm aviator in the black chrome frame with highly reflective Bausch & Lomb blue mirror lenses. The black chrome surface is permanently bonded onto the metal frame using a patented B&L Ray-Ban process, and it looks great with the very hard to find blue mirror lenses that Bausch & Lomb produced in only very small quantities due to difficulties they encountered in the manufacturing process. When they got it right as in the Ray-Ban W2486 aviator, we think you'll agree it's a true design triumph with top of the line eye protection. The unisex Ray-Ban W2486 black chrome frame measures approximately 5.0" temple to temple, and the 52mm blue mirror lenses measure approximately 2.0" x 1.675" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. The top of the nose bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA while the bottom of the bridge is impressed B&L Ray-Ban 52 [] 14 and on most production one ear pad is impressed W2486 YTAW.
