1 Vintage Vuarnet 002 Nautilux sunglasses are one of the finest examples of frame and lens excellence on the water regardless of brand or age, featuring the amazing Vuarnet PX8000 Nautilux lenses. The durable brown nylon French frame is made to stand up to the rigors of active outdoor pursuits, and the Vuarnet Nautilux lenses are a yellow base lens with brown and anti-reflective interior coatings coupled with double gradient blue exterior filters. It's really striking, with horizontal blue bands at the top and bottom in direct sunlight and an amber - yellow center band, all the result of the double gradient mirror exterior filters. Nautilux PX 8000 lenses are a very technical, all weather lens conceived to protect against the strong reflection of the sea and against the tiring glaze of hazy conditions and is especially effective for water sports. The unisex Vuarnet 002 frame measures approximately 5.375" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.25" x 1.875" at the widest points with both lenses laser etched with the trademark Vuarnet V on a Ski. You'll find the Vuarnet PX logo along with Nautilux embossed on the exterior of one ear stem and PX on the other, and the inside of one stem is impressed France along with the French crown trademark and the other stem is impressed Pouilloux.

2 Vuarnet 002 Nautilux sunglasses produced in the years leading up to the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles of which Vuarnet was a corporate sponsor featured the round Vuarnet PX logo and Nautilux on the exterior of one ear stem and the round PX logo along the repeating star symbol of the Los Angeles Olymipcs on the other stem as seen in photos 19 and 20 below. They are otherwise identical in size, shape, and appearance and produced for only about 2 years in this variation so thus very rare.
