Vintage Ray-Ban Olympian I Chromax Easy Riders sunglasses are a real icon of modern sunglasses design, and this gleaming gold version was one of the first and still among the most popular of the variations on the Olympian Ray-Ban produced over the years. What really makes these special though are the amazing Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses, making this version of the Olympian a high performance, ready for anything pair of sunglasses. Ray-Ban Olympian I Easy Riders were inspired by the movie of the same name, and it was one of the earliest sunglass designs to "wrap", i.e. to contour more closely to the face to protect your eyes from wind and glare from the sides - perfect for riding a motorcycle! Bausch & Lomb Chromax lenses are scientifically formulated to control glare, adding
to driving comfort and reducing eye fatigue. Treated with an advanced
anti-reflection coating, they also cut distracting reflections from
the rear surface of the lenses. The unisex Ray-Ban Olympian I Chromax Easy Riders frame measures approximately 5.875" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.5" x 1.375" at the widest points with right lens laser etched Ray-Ban along with the trademark Chromax lightning bolt and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges. You'll find the logo embossed on the exterior of both ear stems, and one uniquely shaped and all original black ear pad is impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA 4 3/4. Rare.
