Carrera Porsche Design 5621 77 Gold and Silver Sunglasses
Vintage Carrera Porsche Design sunglasses feature the hard to find gold and titanium silver frame, but the real star of the show in this special edition package are the very are pink Porsche Design lenses that form 1 of the 2 sets of interchangeable lenses herein. The pink PD lenses c late 1980s were only available as a special order from Carrera, so very few were produced and even fewer survive into the 21st century in excellent condition. They look great with the Carrera gold and silver frame, and the smoke gray lenses give you a completely different look - essentially 2 pairs of sunglasses in one. The center hinge of the frame raises to allow the lenses to be exchanged, with the spare set stored in a felt pouch in the included Carrera Porsche Design case. The unisex Porsche Carrera 5621 77 frame measures approximately 5.75" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.875" x 2.375" at the widest points with the left lens of both sets laser etched Porsche Design along with the PD logo. The inside of one stem is marked Porsche Design by Carrera while the inside of the other stem is marked Made in Austria 5621 77 135 along with the impressed serial number. Rare.
