1 Vintage Ray-Ban 12k GF Kalichrome bullet hole sunglasses c 1970s are far harder to find than bullet hole shooters, giving you easy on and off with traditional paddle ear stems but retaining the bullet hole and General brow bar design to optimize balance and fit on the face. The Bausch & Lomb Kalichrome C yellow lens was originally developed specifically for hunters and shooters and later adopted by marksmen and sharpshooters in the military for their amazing properties to enhance contrast, especially on cloudy or overcast days. During the years of World War II and immediately thereafter, Bausch & Lomb collaborated with American Optical and Shuron - other makers of high quality microscopes and optical equipment - in sharing parts and designs given materials shortages, and these early Ray-Ban 12k GF Kalichrome sunglasses have the early small bullet hole design and thick 12k gold filled Shuron ear stems. The unisex B&L Ray-Ban 12k gold filled bullet hole frame measures approximately 5.5" temple to temple, and the lenses measure approximately 2.375" x 2.0" at the widest points. The top of the nose bridge is impressed Ray-Ban B&L 1/10 12k GF in the gold plating, and both ear stems are impressed 1/10 12 GF Shuron 5 3/4 USA. Rare.

2 Vintage Ray-Ban Kalichrome bullet hole sunglasses were produced slightly later c 1980s immediately after Bausch & Lomb introduced their stylized logo on the left lens and a practice they continue on to this day. They are otherwise identical in size, shape, and appearance with top of the nose bridge impressed B&L Ray-Ban USA, right lens laser etched RAy-Ban and both lenses laser etched BL near the hinges.
